Posted By: <b>Rob L</b><p>This is a good warning Tbob. I have recieved this one twice in the last couple of weeks. If anyone gets something from eBay claiming this type of thing, forward the letter to spoof@ebay.com. These a..holes need to be stopped somehow.

Posted By: <b>runscott</b><p>This is old stuff, but...<BR><BR>1) Paypal and ebay will never ask you to provide such information through email<BR><BR>2) These emails will continue to come at you, so get used to it.<BR><BR>3) Government's new "anti-spam" law ain't worth sh*t.

Posted By: <b>jay behrens</b><p>The 'legit' spammers (one that use opt-in rather than opt-out mailing lists) are their own worst enemies. They have fought any sort of legilation regarding spam. <BR><BR>BEst idea I've ever heard, but don't how it would be inplememnted, would be to charge 5 cents for every email sent. If the email is accepted, you get the 5 cents credited back to you. If it is not accepted or undeliverable, you are stuck paying the 5 cents. How many spammers would last if they sent out a million emails and got a bill for $49,500 (assuming 1% accept it).<BR><BR>Jay
