Labor Day Weekend Anaheim Show

I will be there at table #1456 with a ton of boxing. Highlights:

--Extensive Cuban cards including a pile of Romeo y Julieta cards.
--A bunch of 19th C and prewar stuff
--lots of foreign stuff
--Lots of postcards
--Lots of type cards

If you plan to be there and want something specific, please drop me a PM and I will see what I can do. Also happy to trade for stuff I need.

BTW, looking at the show site's map of dealer tables it looks to be about 80% sold at this point. This is going to be as big as the National, at least judging from the floor plan.

Adam, thank you for letting everyone know about this show. I will add it to my calendar. Here's a link to the show's website: https://www.burbankcardshow.com/

Good luck at the show, display some of the old boxing to these Pelican-toting kids and preach the Gospel of pugilism to them so we have more people to trade with :D

Sounds good, guys. Again, if there is something specific you want, please PM me. I have a lot of stuff I am not planning on lugging unless someone asks for it.

Adam, seeking your knowledge on some photo's made into postcards. Attached are some pictures that I acquired a few years ago. They are all correspondence from Harry Mendel, Sports Publicist to Hall of Fame writer Barney Nagler. It appears to me that Harry simply took some photos, made them into postcards, wrote to Barney and mailed them. The writing gives some insights on some pretty special fights.

4 are from 1955 and the one from 1956 is just before Harry's passing in 56. The one in 56 is pretty cool as he states Floyd Patterson will beat both Archie Moore and Marciano!

The pictures should appear in sequence, front to back.

I would appreciate your take on the photos and any information you might know about either men. Thanks! Jim

I don't know anything about them, sorry.

Meantime, this show is going to be a monster. The sports card floor has 744 tables and 739 are sold as of this morning. The corporate crap and the TCG/Non-Sports are in a different hall.
