What do you guys make of this...relabeled Dave Stewart GU?
So, this is on eBay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/12511708545...3ABFBMiLWl_9Zg I'm looking at that collar tag which reads "Olander." Jim Olander was a Phillies minor league guy in the mid 80s. I suspect this is a minor league jersey that someone slapped a new name plate on. Am I right? |
Another one sold at Goldin some time back.
https://goldinauctions.com/1986_Dave...-LOT63186.aspx Am I totally barking up the wrong tree? I'm puzzled. |
Lots of teams repurposed jerseys during those years. Based on the fact you found a road jersey with the same formula makes me believe this is a good Stewart jersey. Unfortunately Stewart only pitched in 8 games for the Phillies in 1986 so he couldn't have used this jersey much.

I have been watching that one for awhile as I collect game used and team issued “Stewart “ jerseys. I believe it is good, but I believe he has it too high. Base on that auction sale, it should fall between $700-$800. That is still to much for my budget, but I will probably watch it until it sell. If he only played 8 games that year for the Phillies, then he probably doesn’t have to many sets or backups from that season. A catcher named Chris Stewart played 2 games for the Padres in 2010. He played 1 home and 1 road game and I was able to get that home jersey in the past year or two. Just looking. That road jersey if any of you have it.
Thanks, Paul Stewart |

I don't hear Dave Stewart's name very often, so this thread caught my attention. I do have an autographed game ticket from his no hitter with Oakland that you guys might like to check out. Good luck with the jersey.
