Inherited pre-war scrap

I’ve inherited two pre-World War II books and one pre-World War I scrapbook. These include many Ramlys, play ball and a few Goudeys, Among many other cards. I will do my best to get some pictures up especially the rarer cards in the next day.

Be Careful

Dont try anything heroic as far as removing items from the scrapbook. Based on the type of cards and condition, it may be ultimately in your best interest to either 1) Leave as is to keep or sell some day or 2) have the cards examined by a professional paper restorer/conservator who may be able to remove them with minimal or no damage. But please for now just leave them as is. Would love to see pictures if possible...... and you have come to the best place to get opinions and advice from many of the top collectors and Auction Houses in the country. Congratulations on the inheritance and my admiration to your relatives who for over 100 years kept these intact. Rocky

Absolutely sound advice. Many cards, especially Ramly's do not soak well. Please provide pics, many times these scrapbooks are worth more intact, than broken up, especially when more harm than good is done removing cards.
