Old glove - opinion requested
I just won an old Dave Hoskins glove. Hoskins pitched for the Indians from 1953-1954 after integrating and starring in the Texas League in 1952. Previously one of the top hitters for 1940s Homestead Grays teams that included Josh and Cool Papa.
With this kind of stuff, is it likely this would have been game used or would there have been signature models sold retail like there are today? Here is link. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F223482744839 Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |
Nokona is located in Texas and is still in business. They are, I believe the last baseball glove maker to still make every one by hand. You might want to contact someone there with your question.

The link wouldn't seem to work for me....
Sight unseen, I'd say its most likely a store model glove. |
He was a Nokona endorser so most likely a store model
