Several of the classic "hobby favorites" didn't fair so well; e.g., 1953 Bowman, 1957 Topps, etc.

'83 over '73? C'mon.

I think bracketing by years really hurt this one. Seeding 1952 Topps, 1933 Goudey, and T206 in the same regional was a mistake. There should have been a ranking system used first...

Decided to put the sets together in eras. A couple match ups would have been nice later in the tourney, but overall it has been pretty exciting.

Next year, there will be conference/decade tournaments so sets can compete to get into the main tournament. This way we can do some sort of real seeding.

83 over 73? What about 83 over 75? I never said there were sane people determining the results. hahahahaa

Next year, basically any set will be welcome. Going to have conference/decade tournaments to figure out which sets get in.

89 Upper Deck is down and 56 Topps jumped out to an early lead on 52 Topps.
