I really could care less in general, but just out of curiosity I have a question?

Why are these "set break" threads continually allowed on the main section of the forum? These are just advertisements to buy something and provide nothing as far as knowledge or conversation to the board. Generally when other people come on and announce "Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey for sale" people are quick to point out that those threads belong in the BST. Why not the same with these solicitations?

Just curious.

I'm fairly sure Justin pays an advertisement fee, in which case it's no different then an Auction House announcing they are now open for bids. I've done a couple of his breaks and been pleased - probably wouldn't have seen or entered them had they not made the main board.

As Justin disclosed in the first post, he pays for the privilege...

Leon is kind enough to allow me to pay a fee to spread the word about the set breaks I host by putting a thread on the main board. As Steven pointed out, many auction houses use the main board in a similar way.

Best wishes,
