Hi Guys,

A little out of my league, but someone emailed me this photo recently, through one of our sites.

Have you ever seen '52 Topps like this before?
It's scrap I guess -- too bad they're all commons.

The owner was curious about potential value, etc.

Thank you!

They're not all commons. Hall of Famer Robin Roberts appears at the top right corner.

Dunno a lot about them but will find out value in the next several months.....I would guess 300-500 but I really have no idea... :)

Roberts

A better condition but similar Roberts sold for quite a bit on eBay not long back in an auction. It was offered again more recently on eBay for an even higher BIN but do not know if it sold.

Still on

Only imagine what 52 mick would look like and sell for?? Scraps and ghost are beyond me.

Given that they are not cut and have different images on them, they appear from early in the printing stage.

What did he do with the other half?

There are two parts to that sheet.

The Roberts card is on EBay right now.

The sheet is also on eBay.

As an avid collector of that set, it just would not interest me. There are too many variations to burn your cash on. I would prefer to spend money on the mid series gray backs or the Paige/Spain errors.

I am sure quite a few other collectors would have interest though.

Thanks a lot, guys! I'm inviting the owner to join in on the discussion here.
