Baseball Legends Sets--88-90

I always liked these because I thought the photos were so good, plus they had cool variations too :)

I agree Al--I'm a fan of most "oddball" sets, whether they be food issues or just about anything else!

Legends

I bet if you just focus on any 3 or 4 year period in the game there would be several "sure bets to be legends" that took Yogi 's suggested fork in the road.

Actually, his rookie card was one of the cards that started the rookie card craze, after he won Rookie of the Year.

Injuries and other things caused him to not to continue with that rookie year success, but his 1978 (or79?) rookie card was hot for a while.

I had the Hank Aaron from this set as a kid and it was one of my most prized cards.

As a Phillies fan, I never liked when he played against us. He was good for a stretch.
