shipping advice
I have to ship maybe $30,000 of autographed cards from our home in Honolulu to our new home in Scottsdale. Do insure safety do you prefer Fed Ex, UPS, or registered mail?

Depending on how many cards that is I would fly them in my carry on.
At a minimum, I would keep the most valuable with me and ship the lesser ones. I think FedEx or perhaps a private shipper would be best. |
I hear over and over again that FedEx will not insure collectibles. Oh, they will collect the fees for the insurance but they won't pay out on it.
I'd probably carry the most valuable stuff on the plane as has been suggested and send the rest by Registered Mail. |
Oh. Wow. I did not know that about Fedex. Thanks for the heads up.

I recently had to ship and insure something for $20,000.
The least expensive FedEx option was around $270. UPS was about the same. Registered Mail was $55 insured for the full amount. |
Get a collectibles insurance policy for around $200. It will cover the shipping.

Send it registered mail. Best most reliable shipping option to ensure you know where your package is at all times.
But seriously, pack the expensive ones in your carry on. |

Miller Huggins
I have a chance to buy a good Miller Huggins cut from a trusted source. It also comes with a full JSA which doesn't matter to me. I don't have a scan but assuming the cut is good quality- what do you think a fair price is?

Without a doubt, USPS Registered Mail with full insurance. Limit is $25,000 per package, so you'll need to break it up into two packages. No need to carry any of them on your person, just ship it USPS Registered Mail with full insurance and sleep easy. It's a slow way to ship, but safe and reliable.
