Casey Stengel RARE Autographed Single Signed Baseball

1 Attachment(s)
CASEY STENGEL 1956 SINGLE SIGNED BASEBALL Official William Harridge American League ball Signed boldly and inscribed and dated 1956 on one of the panels. As Casey himself would say "Spectacular" Autograph was obtained IN-PERSON in 1956 and comes with a detailed letter of provenance from the original collector. Stengel has signed the ball "Good Luck to Stephen Morris from Casey Stengel NY Yankees 1956" The description of Morris meeting with the Old professor is as follows "In 1956 at the age of nine I was lucky enough to have been invited to a private luncheon at the Glendale California home of "The Old Professor" the luncheon had been arranged by my great uncle Dr. C.J. Morris , Casey's Osteopath at the luncheon were myself, Casey, his wife, the butler and maid and "Uncle Doc" as we were making our goodbyes the butler appeared with a ball and pen , I remember Casey saying "keep your cleats up" as he handed me the ball he had signed" A rare and unique opportunity to own an amazing baseball. The signature and inscription is blazing bold fountain pen , the branding on the ball is slightly faded. Overall would grade the signature a 10 and the ball itself a strong 8/9. Single signed baseballs are highly prized by collectors and nearly impossible to find in this condition. Stengel's career accomplishments both as a player and manager are too numerous to mention here. As manager he presided over the 1949-1960 Yankees "Dynasty" years and would later become the 1st manager of the New York Mets. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966 he died in 1975. $950.00 ppd, I accept Pay Pal , Master Card & Visa
