Suggestions for eBay sniper site?

I searched on the forum, but didn't see any thread that jumped out at me...

Anyway, I've tried to avoid ever using a third-party snipe service, but I simply don't have the focus level to remember to bid on certain cards and I think the time has come to join you snipers out there. I can't tell you how many times I've had an item up with 1 minute left ready to place a bid, and I switch to another tab thinking there is no way I'll forget to come back, and, sure enough - I come back in 5 minutes, realizing I again forgot to bid.

So, I wanted to ask what services some members used, and what ones that are used that are free. I have no interest in paying for the service...

Thanks in advance!

Nate

Wow I have never heard of a third party sniping service.

Nate,

I use Gixen - works beautifully and its free.

gavelsnipe.com is very good.....many Net54baseball members (and I am sure thousands of others too) use the service.

I think a friend of mine uses this one.

http://www.esnipe.com/

But I haven't asked in a while.

They've been around for years, and I'm sure there are others.

I don't use them. I do it manually. Mostly because I'd be in big trouble if I bid on all the stuff I'm interested in, and I know I'd forget to cancel snipes I'd set.

Gavelsnipe
Is the only one I use - I just checked out my snipes for today and it shows that I have placed well over 150 snipes without 1 issue.

I use Gixen as well...no issues and free of course! Sounds like gavelsnipe is just as good.

I use GavelSnipe--and it's FREE!

Gavelsnipe is very good and reliable.

I use esnipe and have for about 10 years. There is a small fee though

I just looked at My Account on Gavelsnipe for the first time. It says I have won 266 auctions and lost 345.

Never had a problem until I saw the dollar amount paid for my winnings. OMG! My wife might be right about my addiction.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, doesn't seem like I can go wrong with either gavelsnipe or gixen.

Case in point, forgot to bid again on the Frank Chance EPDG Yellow Portrait that ended last night.

Gavelsnipe question

Hi All:

Talking about Gavelsnipe, I have a question. What setting do you all use for when to have them bid? Their default is 20 seconds. Any lower before the auction ends they do not guarentee the bid will be placed.

Do any of you have yours set lower than 20 seconds? If so have you had any problems?

Please advise.

Thanks

Gavelsnipe

I have mine set at 7 seconds and it has never failed to place the bid.

GoldenAge50s 12-21-2013 10:03 AM

I think I have mine set on either 7 or 9--one or the other--always has worked fine!

Leon 12-21-2013 11:09 AM

7 seconds.... I have probably done 0ver 2000 snipes and had less than a handful not work and not be outbid....in other words I should have won had it worked...If there is something i can't live without (right :))... then I place a snipe AND bid manually....

slidekellyslide 12-21-2013 12:22 PM

Mine also is at 7 seconds and has never not gone off.

atx840 12-21-2013 12:37 PM

3 seconds, no issues except when I severely underestimate the final price :(
