Anyone know why laying down is so common on those late 19th century cards ?

ullmandds 10-26-2013 02:54 PM

i would presume it was more common in 19th c because the process was much more time consuming back then and the subject had to stay perfectly still for a longer period of time...do it'd be much easier to accomplish this lying down!!
