FS: 1906 / 1907 World Series RPPC
 

This postcard has it all. For sale is an outstanding 1906/1907 Cubs v. White Sox World Series real photo postcard -- see the post below about uniforms dating the image to 1906 -- postmarked on the day of 1907's Game 2 (Cubs 3, Tigers 1) and with a message about the sender having attended the game ("Cubs Win. 'Hurrah.'") Highlights of the image include players warming up, a photo op with a cub, and early photo equipment. One of the coolest early World Series postcards I've seen. Although this postcard was clearly inscribed and mailed during the 1907 World Series, the photo appears to be from the 1906 World Series. The White Sox had dark road uniforms with "CHICAGO" on the front, and white caps with dark brims, whereas the Tigers (in 1907) had gray road uniforms with the old-English "D" in front, and dark caps.

It's still a valuable postcard!

This postcard makes you feel like you are there waiting for the big game to begin...I'm not a postcard collector, but this one takes the cake. Good luck with the sale.
