T206 backs

I am fairly new to collecting this set and wanted to know more about the more rare backs and how that affects value.

I was browsing ebay and saw http://www.ebay.com/itm/1909-11-T-20...p2047675.l2557

this card sell for 10 times more than what a graded copy of a caporal/piedmont back sells for. Do the Lenox backs make basically any card substantially more valuable like this? What are other examples of this? And is it possible for any card to have any back? I'm sure there isn't a Lenox Wagner going around, but it is theoretically possible?

The Lenox Mouthpiece cigarettes brand back is only surpassed by Drum, Uzit and Broad Leaf 460 in terms of difficulty.

Lenox backs are only avail on cards printed in the 460 series.

Even though I do not have a Lenox back in my set yet, I believe that they were printed in brown and black.

I have seen a few Lenox backs online and since being a T206 Super set builder, I noticed that they only came from Factory 30 in New York.

Hope this helps!

Craig

Thanks Craig. Is there a database like thing where I can view the series of cards and the possible combinations of backs?

You probably will find the website T206Resource.com helpful and specifically these three links to start:

This searchable database is a great tool:

Craig,

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but if you believe that, then you are going to have a lot of holes in your "T206 Super Set".

Best Regards and Happy Collecting :)

Craig,

Thanks for the 460 correction about Lenox backs; I will go to T206Resource.com and read up a little more...

now you can really tell I don't own any Lenox backs:)

Thanks for the education; I love it!

Craig

Ted Z has created a spreadsheet that includes players and available backs...I am slowly but surely building out a back set. But Lenox has alluded me.
