Collecting T206 player related items.

What kind of things do you collect because of their relation to the T206 set or a player included in it? I picked up this letter last year from a board member and it's one of my favorite non-card items in my collection.

My favorite item, which, alas I no longer own was a faded period photograph (not a wire photo, looked like something that a fan took) of Chief Bender and Eddie Collins standing together talking by first base before a game.

This isn't player related but certainly T206 related so hope it's ok. Most invoices I have seen, from ATC, don't have the details of this one. And the dating is quite on target...

I've found a few items that relate to the T206 set or players and usually try to buy them when I can. Here is a small list.

Piedmont match box
Piedmont sign
Type I photos

Someday I would like to buy a Piedmont chair for my collection.

Great stuff guys !!! I look for T206 related stuff when I'm out hunting around, but never find anything. I've passed on some cool tobacco containers because they really had no "card relation", but I just can't find these items locally. Great items guys. Tim, Jantz, Johnny, Leon, thanks for posting your items. :)

Tim, that is an amazing letter, what a find !!! That is sweet ~ great addition to the collection !!

Sincerely, Clayton

Craig, great coupons (and postcard !!!) !!! I love the PB coupons, and love all coupons that came with tobacco packaging related to T206's. I was lucky to get this one from Jantz (thanks again Jantz :)) and I'm very excited to have it as a companion piece in my collection:

Sincerely, Clayton

Jantz - I saw a Piedmont chair in an antique store not too long ago. Let me know if you want me to check and see if they still have it next time I'm in that area.

Thanks Clayton. I do a lot of looking in my area for T206 related items but they're hard to find. I did come across this in an antique mall in Roanoke a few years ago. It's from the last season Shaughnessy was manager of the Roanoke club.

Very nice Tim !! I think you are more likely to find T206 related stuff out in your location than I am to find around here. But, I keep thinking maybe I'd find some PCL items (cards, or related) out here, that I could use to trade for T206 items :D;) Just hasn't happened yet.

T206Collector- great stuff !!! It must be difficult tracking down all of these wonderful signed pieces you have !! Love to see them !!

Sincerely, Clayton

Used to be MUCH easier. Things have really dried up and the prices have skyrocketed in just a few months. I've sold off most of my dupes because the offers have been so astronomical.

Thanks for the kind words!

Anytime, I love seeing you post your collection !!!

Things drying up and prices skyrocketing sounds like you have some competition now :o Good luck hunting :D (not me, I'm on a low end budget :o:p)

Sincerely, Clayton
