Dont you hate it

when you jump in an auction with 10 sec or so left and become the HI bidder only to have someone else jump in with 1 sec left to beat you out, lol.

Just happened to me! 1st auction i have lost all month! ugh!

I guess that person does not use a snipe service, I believe those activate with around 5 seconds to go, correct?

I am 0-2 on snipes today, but my 'big one' is tomorrow. Don't worry - it's not baseball.

He'd better watch out. That set is a prime target for counterfeiters. If they aren't slabbed I would stay clear:D

I suppose that's how the the other bidders you jumped in on may have felt too.

That said, bidding is a competitive activity, as is timing your bid down to the last second. I gave up on the later years ago after missing out on more than one item due to a slow pc or internet service. I learned to either snipe, or be sniped years ago. I guess it came down to me having to quit bitching about how others play the game, and learn to adapt how I played the game. My collection is better for it. Can't say I necessarily enjoy sniping though. We all know what it is like to be on the losing end of bidding. But I guess we all have the same (similar) bidding tools available for our use. So does that level the playing field and it's every man, woman, and child for themself ?

If you bid your absolute top max, it doesn't matter if you get sniped because it just means someone else was willing to pay more.

Gavelsnipe allows you to select how many seconds before the auction end that your snipes are processed, but they do not guarantee they will be made if you select less than 20 seconds. With that said, I have mine set for 7 seconds and have never had any problems.
