Authentic 1923 W515 Ruth?

I purchased this 1923 W515 Ruth off the bay 2-3 weeks ago. I've been waiting to get a few more cards before sending it in to get graded. However, in case, the card is slow to get back to me, any idea if the card looks authentic? I have the card in hand and have attached the scans. I purchased the card from a seller who had over 14K in feedback, but not sure if that really makes a difference. The words seem a little fuzzy and the back of the card seems a little strange, but that could just be because it's dirty. If anyone could offer any insights, that would be great! Thanks, Gary

Homemade reprint.

The back should be the same color as the front, the print is blurry, the bottom edge of the card shows an image of a line where the real cards edge was.

Thanks, Frank. Appreciate the feedback.

I agree with Frank above.

The back could discolor a bit, if it had been adjacent to another paper type for years, causing the discoloration. But that ever so slightly fuzzy type looks odd. I'd pass on that card.

Agreed, homemade fake. The W515-1's were printed on two different card stocks, one being exactly the same color as the front and they are fairly thin. They were also made on a sturdier card stock that doesn't chip quite as easily, I can provide scans if needed but they are pretty obvious when you see them.

This one is obvious fake because at the bottom of the card you can actually see where the border of the original scan ends and the counterfeiter left a little "extra" at the bottom that clearly shows the fact that the card was printed and then cut down from there.

Just wanted to thank those who responded to this thread again. After I sent a link to this thread on ebay, the seller said he'd accept a return of the card (even though the listing said no returns). I've sent the card back, and I've already received the refund. Thanks again!
