Not quite vintage but need help..1977 Yankees Pennant

I have an original pennant that I need some help with. It says 1977 Yankees World Champs on the right and has a team photo and roster names underneath the photo on the left side of the pennant. It is in great condition and has been in my family since I can remember. I honestly know nothing about pennants but I was wondering if someone could help me place a value on it? Is there a high desire for these types of items? I have tried researching it but I can't find this exact pennant anywhere. Thanks for the help.

CJ,

Take a look at the link below. Sounds like this is the same as yours...

I assume the photo is printed onto the pennant and not an actual photo attached to the pennant?

That is it...thanks for the find. I guess it isn't worth much at all.

It's not old enough to be worth a lot. Once you get as recent as the '70s, the prices drop considerably... even for championship pennants. This variation is somewhat rare, but the buyer should have started it at about $35.00 (assuming he was sincere about selling it).

Like most ebay sellers, he priced it out of the market. In the glory days of ebay (before the "Buy It Now" format), pennants would always sell. Now it seems that 90% of them are severely overpriced, and just sit in the Ebay Sellers' stores. These sellers apparently have absolutely no motivation to move their inventories.

I don't get why they bother, but I guess they would rather hold on to them forever than actually sell them at market value.

Perezfan - It seems that seller had a opening bid of $24.99 and BIN of $75.00. I don't think there was a reserve.
