Ebay Item - Overpriced?

Hope I don't ruin this for anyone, but doesn't the price seem a little um, excessive? I mean, even more so, than the usual overpriced BIN's?

Not sure - but VCP lists card 186 in M101-5 as Zach Wheat. And there isn't a Bobby Wallace listed that I can see. Not sure if this is a card that collectors already know about?

The seller (Jason) is a member here, so if he sees your post, perhaps he can explain.

Cheers,
Blair

Isn't everything on Ebay overpriced. I price everything over its value in order to provoke an offer near what it is worth. Otherwise if you price it near the actuall value you get offers of 1/2 what it is worth instead of near. Very rarely do you get good offers anyways. I am sure a book has alot to do with this also, or rarity

It's a tough card for sure and I'm probably wrong about the price. Saw this:

which was an ex/mt and considerably cheaper, but that was four years ago, so the price of this one may be in line, for today.

If a grade 4 sold for that and a grade 1 4yrs later is going to sell for more I have got the wrong set put together.

The price is excessive BUT this is one of the true rarites of the M101-4/5 sets. It ranks up there with the Oscar Stanage M101-4 portrait and the M101-5 Beals Becker as cards that were pulled early in the run and replaced with other players (or in Stanage's case a picture of him in action--this is because these cards were actually advertised as action shots, so they were obviously unhappy w/ the Stanage portrait).
