Wanted: Truly Oddball Tom Seaver items

I'm looking for the following:

1970 Topps Cloth Sticker
1973-75 Laughlin giant stand-up
1982 Fleer unissued proof.

If you have any of these, even if it's not for sale or trade, please let me know. And if you have anything else that you think I might not have, let me know. (But I suspect I'll already have it.) Thanks.

I KNOW you do not have this!

Hi Paul,

I am sure you are familiar with the 1969 Sporting news cover featuring the portrait of Seaver? I have the orginal painting it was made from. I also have (inaccessible at the moment) the 1971 Bazooka Numbered uncut panel of 3.

Not these - I have some made Seaver Franken-cards. Everything blank on front with just Seaver's body. Looks like a sticker on a blank card...back is normal. :D

Hi Paul - are you asking if any of us have a Seaver Laughlin stand-up (10 inch) or a super Laughlin standup (3 feet or so)? Just curious - I do have a Seaver regular standup (took me about 10 years to finally get one - crazy tough!) but haven't seen a super standup of Seaver - I've seen three foot versions of Ruth, Aaron, and Mantle, but never any others. Just not sure which size you are referencing.

I'm looking for the 10" size. I was not even aware of the 3' size. I guess I'm looking for both now. Is your 10" Seaver available?

Unfortunately, I'm trying to put together the set, and I'm a big Mets/Seaver fan. I really don't think there is a 3 foot version of Seaver. The ten inch one I have is the only one I've ever seen - not sure why there are so few, considering Laughlin set up and sold these at shows in the tristate area and through a memorabilia store in Cooperstown, as well as through the mail. I'm wondering if he produced Seaver at the end of his run for these.

Certainly if I ever find another, I will let you know.

:(

I've been looking for decades. Literally.

Hey Paul -

Found this in an old Laughlin newsletter from November of 1975 - I don't know if he didn't list the other 4 because he hadn't made them yet, or if he didn't sell enough to make the list. I saw a grouping of a "set" of 8 of these in pretty rough shape on eBay a few years back, and it consisted only of the ones listed in this ad (no Musial) - makes me think that for quite a while he was only selling these nine, and added Bench, Hodges, Koufax and Seaver later, perhaps, or maybe stopped making them if they were not selling well.

Thanks. I did see a complete set with Seaver once in a major auction house's auction. Too many thousands of dollars. If anyone has any inclination to part with their Seaver, please let me know.
