This will go well with my set. My wife was a little confused when I said that I want an autograph on the card. Apparently she thought I meant INDEX card. I will still keep her.

I have an IOU for a future auction buy, but I did get a USPS postal scale which was much needed for selling.

York'ed!

Net54 world,
I must have been a very good boy this year, as my wife York'ed me!

I've been picking away at the 1927 York Caramels for a few years. An interesting little set loaded with HOFers....

She bought 5 of the last 7 I needed, including 4 HOfers in Kelly, Pennock, Haines and Terry !!

This isn't the most popular or available set around, who else is collecting these ? I'm so jazzed that I now have 58 of 60 (less variations)!!

I'll scan them and share when I get a chance...Thanks for the major assist from our own Mark Macrae! She wrapped these cards in very creative ways (like BIG boxes) to throw me off the trail.

What a great gift!

From the missus, I can buy any old card of my choice this week, using half of my own paycheck.

Something tells me, when I kick off... I won't be getting a pretty mahogany casket.

Buon Natale gang

I already used my IOU to finally get my white whale: Exhibit Supply Co Card Vending Machine. I have been after one for years, but either get outbid or the condition isn't right. But this one is still in working order, but with the keys and lock replaced.

A great book from my older boy, "The Rise of Milwaukee Baseball 1859-1901" by Dennis Pajot. The book includes a lot of background info on some of the players who appeared in the Old Judge set.

From my spouse. I'm trying to research its origin to see if it was part of the Vancouver Senior Amateur league. It's home made, thus with no tags or labels, but is high quality, and has a feel of the 1940s
