Bit of a long shot, but just wondering whether any member here bought this Niki Lauda photo off eBay:

I'd like to make an offer on getting a high res scan if possible.

Yeah, I'm really hoping to get a high-res scan so I could make a nice big print of it to display.

Unfortunately I tried that and he (or a rep) said that they don't deal with post-auction deals. Maybe I'll ask again however and just ask for contact details myself - thanks!

I spent alot of years shooting photos at Cart/Champcar (indycar) races, sports car races and Formula 1 when it was at Indianapolis. I'd get pit/ paddock access for everything except F1, access is the key but also timing, being patient, trying to compose the photo before the moment, being ready for when the time comes. It's hard, you may get only one chance. The Lauda photo nails it. Race car drivers are great subjects, both very intense and focussed. I've always been amazed by their eyes. I imagine Ted Williams at bat was the same way.
