Earliest Yankees pennant?

I noticed there are quite a few pennant collectors here, which is awesome because I've always loved them myself.

I've always been curious about this but have never been able to find a definitive answer: What is the earliest Yankees pennant known to exist?

The earliest I've been able to find through research is a 1921 pennant, and it sold for several thousand dollars because according to the auction description there are only a handful left known to exist. I was just curious if this is the earliest pennant ever made for the Yankees, or if there were some made even earlier than 1921?

Thanks in advance.

Below is a 1913 Yankees Pennant with Frank Chance as Manager (top-left).

This timing coincides with the name change from Highlanders to Yankees. So I believe this to be among the first-ever Yankees Pennants.... if not the first.

Hope this is helpful!

Wow, that is awesome Mark. Is that one yours? Do you know how hard they are to find? Thanks

VERY difficult to find. Great pennant, Mark!!

Yes- difficult! I have seen one other (fairly recently) but condition was really rough. Collecting these takes a lot of patience, but that what makes them great. If these were more prevalent, they wouldn't be as special.

Mark, upon Googling this pennant I came across what appears to be a variation of the one you have that sold recently through Heritage:

Agree with Jerry...

That vertical example is among the best pennants ever. Same timing as my horizontal version, but with even better and more detailed graphics.

Phenomenal!
