Glue removal from '33 Goudey back?

Posted By: David
I picked this up, but the seller neglected to mention that the back had been glued (or adhered to in some way) cardboard or paper. Would it be possible for an amateur like myself to restore the back to it's original state or would the risk outweigh the reward?

Thanks in advance!

Posted By: David
I'm not financially motivated in restoring the card. I don't plan to get rid of it anytime soon, I just think it would look a lot nicer if the original Goudey back showed. I also don't want to ruin it in the process.

Posted By: David
"Skinned" meaning the back layer of the card has been peeled off? If so, that stinks. I can't tell from looking at it through the case, but if that's the case I'm pretty disappointed. I considered that, but since it's so "even" on the back I assumed it was glued to paper or something.
