Ebay Alert....T206 Chance with an American Beauty back is a REPRINT

Currently on ebay is a T206 card of Chance (batting pose) with an American Beauty 350 (with frame) back.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=170567900721

This is an IMPOSSIBLE front/back combo for this card.

A real T206 card of Chance (batting) was printed with an American Beauty 460 (no frame) back.

Yep. Besides the back, even though it's blurry you can tell that the font is wrong.

I think that the extra-wide left and right white borders would be a giveaway too.

I'll add one more, no tobacco factory/dist. number at bottom of back...

Love the dark pics, ......... turn a light on kook!

"...but I assume it is original."
I thought eBay came out with some policy that if you weren't sure a card was original you had to list it as a reprint????
To the winning bidder- P.T. Barnum was right.

Or perhaps he needed to end the auction before darkness. Apparently he only has candles for illumination.

LOL! I'm surprised he didn't say that he found the picture in his grandfather's attic.
