Who is the physically toughest most athletic COACH?
Many head coaches today are ex players. And some of them are still great athletes! It made me wonder who are the most athletic coaches in sports (past or present)?
Ex; Titans coach Mike Vrabel. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...fXGWw&usqp=CAU |
Player Coaches count?
If so I'll take Bill Russell of the late 60's Celtics teams, throw my cards down, and call the rest of the table. |
Mike Ditka would have kicked any Bears players butt in the early to mid 1980’s. He broke his hand in Baltimore punching the lockers after an overtime loss in 1983.

Coaches
Hmm- most athletic or “toughest”? Poster said best athlete, so Larry Bird? Zinadine Zidane maybe? As much as I dislike him and Real Madrid, he was a great player who managed world champion teams. Trent King

The bald guy on the right and it isn't even close. For many years he was considered the baddest man on the planet. Fedor Emelianenko is the correct answer.:)

Not to fall back on semantics...but I'd call him a "trainer", not a "coach". ;) |

Personally I would call him mister or sir or anything he wanted. |

As far as head coaches currently, I would not want to tangle with Dan Campbell. The guy is 6'5" and an easy muscled 280 at least.

Rod "The Bod" Brind'Amour of the Carolina Hurricanes. Most of the players say that he is the fittest guy on the team and it isn't even close. He's 53 and he works out for multiple hours every day.
