REA Auction Preview
 

Does REA not allow you to view items beforehand (the auction starts 10-6-17)? Or am I missing something? Typically in most auctions you can preview the items before the auction starts. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I've got an item in the auction. Looking forward to potentially making some money during REA as opposed to waving goodbye to it.

Usually, REA opens their auction early or has the digital version available as a preview, but not this year. However, it opens tomorrow, so it's almost here!

Some of my most prized collectibles are contained (in image form only) within the many amazing pages of my REA Catalog Hard-Copy Personal Library.

I assume those pages represent today's version of the Sears & Roebuck 'Wish Book' Catalogs of my grandparent's era.


I can't wait for the next one to arrive...

maybe REA isn't doing a preview because of all the complaints about auctions taking too long from start to finish.

It is getting a little absurd when most bidding is done the minute it opens, or once it goes to extended bidding

I think it's the equivalent of the really good restaurant keeping people waiting in the front even though a table or two might be ready in the back. The suspense makes it all so much more exciting. Or maddening. There's a fine line between those two......

I just hope its not a bunch of HIGH-END items that the middle/working class can afford.

website says 2 pm EST today

If you log in and look at your bids page, it will be empty but on the left hand column it will say this:

Start: 10/6/2017 2:00 PM EST
End: 10/29/2017 12:00 PM EST

its open NOW!!!!

And all of a sudden, the thread goes very quiet, as everyone scrambles to enter their placeholder bids, followed shortly by receiving their outbid emails....

Done and done. Sheesh. Record outbid time for me! Hope deflated. Reality restored

Noticed this Eddie Miskis gray back card and noticed they still refer to it as a CDN gray back.
I thought that had pretty much been disproven?
