e97 uncut sheet

Posted By: peter ullman
I know this was mentioned recently...but...i was just perusing the latest old cardboard and I saw this sheet again on the back cover in the maestro ad and it got me thinking...why is the sullivan card so rare as it seems to have been printed on the sheet along with the others. Any ideas?

pete in mn

It is a great question, but I have no idea what the answer would be.
JimB

P.S. Interestingly, Peter Calderon said that when those were lined up with the E93 sheets, they seemed like they were once all one sheet. So it seems E93s and E97s, at least for some period (maybe only the proof run since these are blank backed) were printed together.

Posted By: quan
i found it contained the 2 tougher variation young cleveland and steinfeldt corrected. i forgot to look at the nicholls and sullivan to see which variation they had. so i'm thinking in one run of printing you'd find the young/boston along with steinfeld...while the updated or corrected run will have the corrected steinfeldt along with the team change for the young. maybe i'll spend another $30 for the show tomorrow to see which variation the other 2 have (while still not buying anything).

edited to add is one variation really tougher than the other for the 4 cards? seems to me like the frequency of u finding either variation is the same, which is almost never...
