T206 auction

Posted By: vetekbob
I just won an auction for a 206 card and I missed the little addition that the seller cleaverly added near the paypal logo saying pay 2 bux extra to the total and pay with paypal. It is my understanding that doing such is against ebay and paypal rules. Am I wrong on this? Needless to say the after auction invoice said the same and I didnt pay the extra 2 bux in paying the total due. Very sneaky to me and needless to say I wont be doing business with this seller again.

basicgreatguy@hotmail.com

Posted By: Brian

Hi Guys,
It's actually against the law to charge customers for any fees associated with credit purchases. If you choose to accept credit cards you can't charge those customers an extra 2-3%, but you can get away with cash discounts. Be well Brian

Posted By: Dave Williams
I get people all the time at my business trying to pay with credit card for small amounts.

It costs me over $2 to process a credit card transaction.

I tell them any order under $50 I charge $3 for credit cards.

I know it's a violation of my agreement, but don't care. If they want to report me, let them, I'll quite taking the card.
