New Old Cardboard Magazine

I just got a surprise in my mailbox today.....

Thank you to Lyman and Brett Hardeman!

Kuddos to Brett, Lyman, and all the authors (Tom Shieber, Bruce Babcock, Eric Schmidtke, and OC Staff) for another great issue.

A little something for everyone; T206/Hal Chase story, 1903 World Series, R316, Real Photo postcards, and my personal favorite, a well researched and written article on N566 Newsboys.

Thank You!

Hmmmm. I thought I was a lifetime member but maybe not.

I too am a "lifetime" member and haven't received the new issue yet. Hopefully soon.

How does one obtain this magazine?

Thanks,
Jay

I'm a lifetime member and very happy I just received mine. Fantastic content as usual!

Jay,

Near the top right of every Net54 page there is a square image link.

More specifically it is the last icon on the right, in the series of 8 categories on each page near the top. Lyman and Brett who publish OldCardboard (hey guys) are Net54baseball members, long time hobbyists and Texans. And they put on a great chili cookoff each year too, or at least they used to. Got my magazine a few days ago.

It is. You can also order back issues from their website. Great reading material.

I got mine in three or four days ago.

Read the entire magazine last night. The Newsboy article is my favorite mostly because I like the 19th century stuff.

With another fantastic issue (mine arrived yesterday), I'm proud to be a lifetime member.

slidekellyslide 04-26-2016 03:01 PM

Still nothing in my mailbox. Hopefully soon, looking forward to reading that RPPC article.

Kawika 05-03-2016 12:31 PM

Any of you guys in Canada get your copy yet? Nothing here in Victoria.

canjond 05-03-2016 02:21 PM

Nothing in NYC, although I'm sure it will arrive soon.

slidekellyslide 05-03-2016 06:10 PM

I actually did get mine, it was sent to my office the week I was sick with the flu and my employee just put it under the counter instead of putting it in my office.

Old Cardboard

I would like to say, that as a first-time author, Lyman made this a very pleasant experience for me. I hope that you all enjoy my article on the Kashin R316s, and I would be glad to dialogue on the set at any time. There was much I learned that could not be included in the 7-page article format.
Best Regards
Eric Schmidtke
