I just looked through the museum on google images. Wow!

I take it the galleries on his website are just there to tease us? I see he has a Los Angeles Rams one. Not seeing it will haunt me until I finally breakthrough. Anyone get them to open?

Found pictures and video on their facebook page. Not a lot and not very good quality, but I saw "some" of the Rams stuff. I guess I'll add this to the itinerary for my next Rams game.

Thanks for posting that interview. Amazing.

Are there bigger private collections out there?

I've never seen this exact photo before; but, beware, there's a better photo taken (I presume) by the same photographer from a different angle that the Library of Congress now owns....

The photo was taken at game #1 of the 1916 World's Series at Braves Field; and, the woman on the far right is Mrs. Ed McKeever, the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers--er, Robins--er, Superbas!

And to Greg's point, this has to be the earliest Brooklyn pennant to feature the nickname, "Dodgers," thereon because most simply read "Brooklyn" from that era.

Apparently, they stocked up on pennants before boarding their train to Boston because there's no less than 5 Brooklyn pennants depicted in the photo if you look carefully enough.

I'm playing a bit of catch up on this thread. I love that photo.

Question: Have any of us actually seen any these pennants (e.g. are there any known surviving copies)?

Recent pick-up of one of the 1963 Dodger pennants that Kyle wrote about on his blog. Unfortunately it was sash-less. Luckily Kyle could help me out and bring the pennant back to life.

That’s a crazy amount given all that’s missing from it. Not making me feel optimistic about getting a Dodgers or Red Sox should another appear ….

Epic Pennant Being Auctioned

I hate to out an auction, but this one is so extraordinary and I know so many here would be interested in bidding...that it just seems too selfish to stay quiet about it. Good luck all.
