Sweet Caporal 150 / 649 OP sub-set has been done before :) , and will be done again ;)
BUT, it's a favorite of mine  ONLY 34 cards, but a FUN adventure: Attachment 259721 Love them all, but had to pick four to high-light: Attachment 259722 Some GREAT HOFs, but Lajoie eeks out favorite. Ewing has the most blatant "double factory." Like the stamp on Powers, and it amazes me that he somehow made it over to Factory 649. Gilbert, last card to finish. Fun stuff, Scott  |
love the vintage colors and simplicity....thanks for sharing!!
I should add, the backs are great looking with all of the red ink!! |
well done sir!
You always ask, so this time I will...... What's next? |
Wow,.....
awesome awesome awesome!!!:)
|
Great looking subset! Nice work!
|
Very impressive Scott!!! You were at that for a little while it must have been challenging. I like the Ewing as well because I have the same card and the same back ;)
|
Congrats!
I guess I've been wasting my time looking for a Pittsburgh player with that back. Seeing your complete subset explains why I haven't found one....ha! |
Awesome subset Scott. Congrats on completing it!
|
My eyes have always been drawn to the factory 649 because of all that extra red ink. Congrats Scott on a fun subset.

Super job Scott
|
Well done Scott!
|
How long did it take to assemble?
|
Congrats!!! They look great. How do you display them, in sheets/binder?
|
I like that Mathewson card. And the Lajoie. :)
|
First, I forgot to thank all the net54 members who helped me along the line. My T206 friend Dougscats has a great idea (that many I sure also use): Have a "source" column on your spread sheet. I don't :( -- BUT SHOULD :o especially with getting older :) --- In others words, you know who you are -- Thanks !!!
Phillip -- It took about a year to put them together, kind'a tough -- A good variety of cards. Can't say any are tougher than others, just have to wait for'em. Michael -- They are just in my binder, alphabetically like "normal." Jeff -- What's next ???!!! HAHA, first I thought of going after ~280 EPDGs, but that's ridiculous ;) Just staying with my "addiction" ---> as many mid-tier backs as I can....... I guess there's no rule saying it can't be 100% one day ...... Great, Scott :p |
Scott
Nice 649 back run! I enjoyed your article on Luke's website about T206 Polar Bear backs. We should chat sometime about Polar Bears, maybe at a National over a beer. I'll buy, if you don't drink beer, then you can buy me one. :D Jantz |
Great work Scott! I love the 649s as well. It was fun to follow along as you checked them off.
|
Awesome sight!
Scott,
Beautiful subset! Thanks so much for sharing the pics with us. I also just love the Ewing Cincinnati card! Congrats, Tim Kindler |
