What is a "Type Set"?

Posted By: leon
There are a million+ different ways to collect type cards...My definition is 1 of each set...and then going from there, also 1 of each back etc......it's really limitless.....and then when you are done with that you can just collect cards you like and call them type cards.....it's wide open....

and here is most of mine....it will give an idea

http://www.luckeycards.com/personal.html

What is a "Type Set"?

Posted By: peter ullman
that would be a master type set...like Leon is/was going for. Type collectors may choose "types" from t sets, e sets...pretty much whatever they choose...but, is typically 1 card from each set...as you say!

What is a "Type Set"?

Posted By: barry arnold
since finishing my T206 set some months back, i have been doing my version of a type set which is collecting a card from my favorite sets.
it's been a blast. interestingly, my walls now have more of these framed 'type' cards than T206s. i do look at all the monsters in the set
at least once every couple of weeks, still. The framed T3 and Ramly catch my eye most every day!

best,

barry

My Type Set

I'm currently working on getting my type set up on the web. I'm collecting any trading printing during or before 1980. I'm starting by uploading my baseball cards, then will move onto football, basketball, hockey, other sports and non-sports.
