Beg, Borrow and Steal?

It's been brought up before how Tug McGraw grabbed John 'The Hammer' Milner's huge glove for the woodsy shot on his 1973 card...

But, I just realized Lou Brock is guilty of theft, too. In between stealing bases, it's pretty obvious he also swiped Ernie Bank's batting helmet (because that's a 14, not a 24) for his 1964 card...

Anyone else have examples of players sponging off others?

Cool discovery!

I like it. Fun trivia!

Weird that I can't see the pics. They show up as text lines.

Anyway, 1973 Topps is filled with interesting background stuff. The Tug card looks like it was taken in his back yard with a crutch leaning up against the shed.

That happens frequently with me, too.

Right click on the line of text and open in a new page. Then you will have to log in again. After that you can go back to the original page and also see the picture(s) after you refresh that page. It has been happening for easily over a year off and on. I can't remember the reason behind it anymore but someone that knows about web sites explained it a while back.

I just do {IMG}url{/IMG} for any pictures I want to share and the image shows up. No right-clicking necessary.

I wonder if Billy Ripken tried to pretend he took the wrong bat for that one card...
