Posted By: <b>T206Collector</b><p>Indeed, I have now learned that the Kansas City Cowboys were a baseball team in the National League for a single season in 1886 and in the American Association from 1888 to 1889.<br /><br />

Posted By: <b>Brian McQueen</b><p><br />Kansas City did have a professional team, the Cowboys, from 1885-1887 during a period in which Indianapolis was not able to fund a team. During this time the Cowboys were a part of the National League and is the reason there are so many players depicted on N172s. Shortly after, they were apart of the the Western League and American Associations.<br /><br />By 1909-11, the Blues had become the main baseball franchise in KC and were a part of the American Association. By 1914-15, a second team, the Packers, had surfaced in the Federal League in which you can see several players depicted on Cracker Jack Cards.
