New to Vintage...making the change...

So new member here, but am a veteran of the Blowout Forums. Just wanted to come here and read up on the new venture I'm entering...Vintage...:D...

Trying to move into Vintage and out of the Modern day cards. Have potential buys coming up and wanted to see if there are any specifics to look out for. Probably have opportunity to pick up cards from '58-68, but didn't know if there were recognizable things to look for in case they're counterfeit.

I'm new to the "vintage" market and will take my time to learn the cards, but I don't want to miss opportunities to pick up some great cards at a reasonable price. Thanks in advance for any help and I look forward to hearing from everyone on the forum.

Welcome to Net54, but if you are looking for 1958-68 cards you should probably try the post-war section. :)

Skip vintage and go straight for the T206s. You'll fit right in. :D

So I guess one question I have is...I have some '68-78 complete sets that are probably VG-EX/MT at best on majority of the cards. I want to move them, but don't know if I should piece it out (Ebay store/card show)...or move it as a lot (Ebay)??

Check some completed auctions on ebay for a while, consider if you want to spend a ton of time or not, then make a decision that best fits your amount of involvement you want to have. Generally, singles will net you more money but be a ton more time intensive to sell. Good luck!!

T206 aren't vintage? I consider them vintage along with 19th century issues. They may be pre-WWI but is that not considered vintage?

Enquiring minds need to know! :D
