ebay member R3 with same cards over and over!

Posted By: dan mckee
I wrote this ebay member because I get tired of seeing the same cards over and over again with insane minimums that never sell. I admit I may have been a bit harsh but I had a buzz going. He never wrote back, just complained to ebay. Below is ebay's response, now you know why they don't spend any time on shilling!

Dear darby-s (bandache@comcast.net),

We appreciate your membership here at eBay. As such, we would like to take this opportunity to discuss with you a complaint we received involving an unwanted email you sent to another member via the eBay Email Forwarding System.

The purpose of the Email Forwarding System is to provide open communication between a seller and a buyer regarding an eBay transaction. Below is a copy of the email you sent through the Email Forwarding System:

"How many times are you going to list this? you paid $100 on ebay and will list it a thousand times with no bids. If you want to sell it. Put a reasonable minimum on it."

Although eBay maintains a neutral position regarding this complaint, we wanted to let you know a complaint has been received. Currently this will not affect your account. Any complaint to eBay regarding the use of the Email Forwarding System outside of its intended purpose can be reported to eBay.

For more information regarding eBay's Email Forwarding System, please visit this URL:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/Contact_form_faq.htmlhttp://pages.ebay.com/help/email_info.html

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important matter.

Regards,

Customer Support (Trust and Safety Department)
eBay Inc

Posted By: runscott
I've seen his 1900 Sporting Life Honus Wagner "rookie" about a million times - same for the 1920's Wagner Notebook cover. Some things you should just frame and hang on your wall.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
Hey Dan,
Why don't you reply to ebay with a link to the MSNBC report in the forum and see why they spend so much time on minor matters like this, and don't be concerned about the major matters that are illegal. It's too bad we can't set up our own auction service.

It sucks th Twins lost, but a great season.

Posted By: dan mckee
Lee, it is funny you mentioned that! About 5 minutes after I read that article I forwarded the link to ebay through the joke powersellers program stating just what you said! They never responded to that mail. Imagine that! take care. Sorry about the Twins, it could be worse, you could be an Oriole fan!

Posted By: TBob
I was high bidder on one of his auction cards and was going to get a real deal (no reserve auction) for about $30 when he ended the auction with 1 minute left. I emailed him and told him I was really disappointed he did this, especially since I had just sent him a money order for some other cards he sold me on ebay and he said he was not going to take a bath on the card because of what he had in it. Since then I have seen the same card on ebay 5 times, each time with a $74.99 opening bid and $75.00 BIN. Not one bidder any of the times...

Posted By: jay behrens
did you contact ebay about that? That is a serious rules vilation, and if he's not a power seller, they will likely spank him for doing it. I am certain they can't force him to sell you the card, but it would be a small amount of revenge

Jay
