I was the underbidder on that lot, and I don't remember who won them, but it looks like they got broken up...or more were found?<br /><br />I'm guessing internal photos used for programs, newsletters or whatever else the Reds needed them for.

Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>They could be press photos, sent out to the press, though press photos usually aren't that small. Also, fascimile signatures are rarely put on press photos. Fascimile sigs are usually for commercial items-- for the fans.<br /><br />In cases, teams made player/team photos that they both sold to fans and sent to the press. I had the press photo collection of a sportswriter and it included team issues. So it's not always an either/or situation.
