Pre-1954 Baseball Card Publications With T206 Color Images
 

Wild shot in the dark -- this autographed image of a T206 was certified by PSA/DNA in the context of a 2017 Historic Autographs card. Bender died in 1954. I have a hard time believing that there were too many pictures of Bender's T206 card available in color prior to 1954. Anybody aware of any publication that might have done that?

Edited to add: I was thinking that maybe the HOF published it when he was elected in 1953, and that he signed autographs at the ceremony; but, according to Wikipedia he died before his induction ceremony the following year.

I had/have a large page out of a magazine that had a lot of T206s pictured in color. I think I have shown it before. It is old but not positive it is before 1954. That is early for color pictures of T206s.

I have the magazine...I’ll see if I can dig it out this afternoon and give you the name and date.
