Testing the "Make Offer" option
Matt/Leon--
To test what happens when one selects the "Make Offer" option, could one of you go to this auction & make a $1.00 offer? I promise I will NOT ACCEPT it!:D Just want to see the resulting EM's & what the procedure will be--Will report what happens! Here is an auction: http://www.grandslambids.com/auction...tion_id=100282 Thanks! |
Hey Fred - offer made (feel free to accept it) :)
You should have gotten an email to that effect and directing you as to how to respond to the offer. |
OK--Here's what happened:
I got an EM alert that an offer had been made--it took me to an accept or deny page, however the wording was odd! I clicked decline (or whatever the word was) and I got this: Are you sure you want to remove this record? (A strange choice of words, I thought!) LOL! I clicked accept & got this: Are you sure you want to accept this offer. ( Pretty plain & straightforward!) HOWEVER, on my auction listing itself I could see NOTHING that would tell me an offer had been made! Had I not checked my EM I would NOT KNOW I had an offer that needed attention! Also, there is no indication of how long the offer would be good for. I believe on EBay you have 48 hrs to reply or make a counteroffer before it will automatically deny an offer. Also, when I denied your offer there was no place to write a note saying WHY I denied or make you a counteroffer. Thanks Matt! |
Thanks for the feedback - we will address those issues.

Additionally.
I noted on the offer screen there was no was to link to the person who made the offers information/feedback, etc. Perhaps at the beginning we will know or at least know of each other from Net54, but as it gets bigger, it may be an issue. I would like to be able to look up the persons info before I accept an offer, with out having to cut and paste their name in the search box. Thanks for all the work Matt. Mark |
