OT - Anybody related to a current professional baseball player?

Along the lines of the other thread as to whether anybody is related to a pre-war player, I was curious if anybody is related to a current Major or Minor League player? In other words, is there anybody we need to be rooting for that's currently in the Bigs or is there somebody trying to make it there? Do you have a baseball card of them?

not exactly a player but...

My wife's cousin Rex is the head trainer for the Astros and has been for years.

As quite as this topic is, I'd have to say that baseball card collectors and their current baseball playing gene pool are inversely proportional.

And what does Kevin Kiermaier's potential future father-in-law think about that? Or, is that just your daughter's wishful thinking??

I'm on the fence. On one hand, she's only 15. On the other, I really hate my job. :D

If anyone has a chance to see his antics in the outfield, it is hysterical. He is the best worst fielder I have ever seen. His routes to fly balls, look like a complicated street football play. But he makes the play.

Around 10 of my former players played pro ball at various levels this season

I batted off of and pitched against former major league pitcher and NBA player Mark Hendrickson. He's 6'10" and pitched for the Blue Jays, Orioles and Dodgers. I think he only balled for the Sixers. Managed to break up a no hitter with a bloop to right as a hitter off him, but i thought he was a better hitter than pitcher. He hit some homers off me that were well over 400" in a mens wood bat league here in York Pa. Super nice guy.
