The Constitution is Strong
Posted By: barrysloate
That's a very strong price, but it is based on marketing it as the birth of the National League. Fair enough.

Several years ago a young book dealer in NY was advertising one in the antiques paper so I called him to see what he was asking. His response: $250,000!!

He got an immediate invitation to my house and I offered him my entire library at equally optimistic prices, but he didn't bite. For all I know, this could be the same copy.
