1915 cj federal league

i'm looking to put together the 1915 cracker jack federal league cards because i know i will never touch the wagner or jackson in the set but are any of these cards tougher than others?

There are about 6 to 8 that are a little pricey. The Plank is probably the most expensive, followed by Tinker, Brown, Marquard, Roush, Bender, Chase and Knabe. All are available with a little effort.

I dont think there are any federal leaguers harder to find than others. I agree that the plank is the most expensive but they are around as I have personally sold 2 in the last 6 months. The bender and chase seem to be everywhere...of course my knowledge is on lower end CJs. Good luck!

i'm planning to put together a low end set i really cant afford psa 5 or 6 hofer's but might have a few 3's or 4's that are commons. thanks

There seems to be very little gap in price in 1's and 2's and then there is a jump going up to 3's and a bigger leap up to the 4s. If you dont mind some staining, you can get some very nice, eye-appealing 2's and 3's. The prices on the brown can escalate at times as well. Raw cards sell for les typically but really need to examined closely for a trim job. Ive purchased approximately 100 raw CJs in lots/other purchases and 15-20 were trimmed and I could detect 80-85% from the naked eye. A nicer low-grade Marquard may the toughest of the bunch.
