Just one for me so far - not in the greatest shape, but about all I could afford for an OJ cabinet...

bcbgcbrcb 08-25-2011 10:09 AM

Wow, the 1881 Chicago imperial cabinet only went for $1,500 last night, someone must be really glad that I did not decide to bid.

oldjudge 08-25-2011 11:17 AM

Phil-I was actually hoping that you got it since you indicated that you wanted it.

sreader3 08-25-2011 03:34 PM

Not sure if this post needs to be in the BST but if the winner of Lot 256 wants to sell me Whitted Brooklyn or the winner of Lot 781 wants to part with Rowe Denver, please send me a PM.

leftygrove10 08-25-2011 05:12 PM

I would be interested in the Series 14 Lefty Grove Wheaties Panel from Lot #289 if the owner wants to sell. Will pay big money for this panel.

Had a good night and won five of the large zeenut groups, many of these lots went for pretty good values I thought...

1913 group of 67
1917 group of 67
1920 Group of 82
1922 group of 97
1933 sepia group of 34

Congrats to whoever landed the E125 Plank, quite a score at 4500 considering the same card went for over 26k in REA a few years ago.

I played my poor-man's E125 hand rather spastically with the individual closing times and multi-tasking making blackberry jam and pickling cukes.
Missed a few I woulda/shoulda, but landed 4...now just 28 to go ;)

rhettyeakley 08-26-2011 01:58 AM

I ended up with the 1912 and 1926 Zeenut lots. Brian, if you decide against going after any of the sets you picked up there are some in each of those lots I'd love to get my hands on. :D

seablaster 08-26-2011 05:01 AM

If any of the gents who won the Zeenut lots are interested in parting with their Jerry Downs cards, please send me a PM. :)

leftygrove10 08-26-2011 05:27 AM

I would also be interested in the Grove card from the set of 1931-32 4/1 Exhibits.

Thanks Phil.....it really has the eye appeal of a better card, which is what I care about more than the number on the slab.

I was going hard after the 1912 Zeenut Bancroft too. Congrats Leon. Typical SGC undergrade of a Zeenut unless the back has problems.

Cat and Tbob- we better compare notes next time? Darn you guys :). I really wanted the run of Z's with coupons as I still need the 1920 (hint hint) to (almost) complete my set of the run, except for some variations...

caramelcard 08-26-2011 12:34 PM

I won the lot of 1932 Zeenuts and the lot of Buchners.

Rob

Leon 08-26-2011 12:37 PM

Nice pickup Paul!

I bid on all of the M101-1 lots and in the end won none of them. Meant to go higher on a couple of them but when I sat down at the computer I totally spaced out. Doh!!!

atx840 08-26-2011 05:13 PM

I too spaced out and missed bidding on the BL350s. :(
