Need Help Arky Vaughan Autograph

1 Attachment(s)
I have an opportunity to purchase the attached signed photo of Arky Vaughan (purchased conditionally but not shipped until I give the okay).

Your opinions as to its authenticity is greatly appreciated. I have reviewed it in light of other autographs online and there are certain characteristics that appear consistent, others not so much. It appears very rushed so hoping there are those on the board with much better expertise than mine that can help me.
Thank you kindly.

I think it looks good. Like you said, most likely a rushed signature.

Thank you for taking the time to assess the authenticity. Your opinion means a lot to me.

Please let me know if anyone feels differently or confirms this assessment. Again, I appreciate and value your opinions. Thanks!

You might let the guy who listed it on ebay know this, as everyone seems to have that same opportunity. Seems it sold on 10/30 and is already relisted again.

I would love to have a Dodger piece signed by him and the price seems good...too good.

Arky

I dont like it.

Arky had a great signature. One he took a lot of pride in. I’ve never seen a “rushed” signature that looked anything like this.

I've never seen a rushed one either.

agreed.I didn't like it but was hesitant to mention it since more folks are expert than myself

Thanks to each of you for your candid remarks. I had purchased the autograph, conditionally. I told him not to send it until I received guidance from a panel of experts. I told him it was very likely not genuine and he gladly returned my money with his apology. He is selling the autograph for a friend whose 91 year old father from Brooklyn purportedly obtained it in the 1940s.

I am very grateful for your guidance.

My assumption would be that it would have been snapped up at that price by someone who knows well (if real). The fact that it is still available (or was last I checked) tells a lot in my mind.

It’s a somewhat faded vintage signature. I’m wondering what everyone thinks this is worth. Vaughan is tough, but I don’t think $400 is that great of a price. I think it’s ok and fair as a signed photo is tough. I still think it’s real and encourage someone who’s interested to get a PSA quick opinion. I don’t care either way, I’m not interested in it.
