Posted By: <b>Hankron</b><p>For future reference, 'Leslie's Illustrated', which was a similar magazine to Harper's Weekly, also issued a number of nice baseball woodcuts. In fact, the Holy Grail of baseball woodcuts (186? memorial to the singlar James Creighton) was in a Leslie's Illustrated.

Though made a few years after his death, I beleive that this woodcut is the only vintage James Creighton item that is practically attainable for the normal collector ... There are perhaps a couple of original Creighton photos and that Peck & Snyder card (also made after his death), but those are like very expensive hen teeth. I've never even seen any of those offered for sale.
