Ric Changrie (SP?)of Piedmont Cards

Hi All,
Back before reentering the hobby recently, I used to deal with a gentleman named Ric and I believe his last name was close to Changrie. He had a firm called Piedmont cards. He was fantastic to deal with and I cannot find any information I had on him as it was 15 years ago. The Internet was no help either. Does anyone know if he is still active and how to reach him? I would very much like to reconnect with him.
Thanks!

I believe Ric Chandgie got out of the hobby many years ago. In the day one of my favorite dealers.

That's a shame. I wish him the best. He was often involved in a league of cards way above my means at the time but he gave me so much of his time as a resource/mentor for me it was incredible. He even took the time to introduce me to several dealer friends of his at a nationals in Chicago years ago. He also sent me cards that were more in my league when he came a cross them. He would send them to me, if I wanted them I would send him money or, if not, the cards backs. Whenever I thanked him, he would say don't thank me, We will work on a "big one" at some point".

Ric was always a gentleman when we talked at the big shows. IIRC, he also owned some clothing stores and that was how he made his money

Ric had an amusing habit of giving you precise shipping quotes for overnight, two and three day UPS even when you bought very substantial cards. He was also a heavy smoker I believe because sometimes his packages had a definite tobacco smell. There was no one better, though, at finding cards for you. He also took pride in being able to get cards bumped for you (only if they deserved it of course).
