autographed baseball question

I have a few autographed baseballs and have stored them in a closet for
a number of years. For the most part they are in the dark and never in
direct sun light. I have noticed that the autographs are fading. What should
I be doing?
Thank you in advance for your help :)
Sandy

as long as its out of the light, there is nothing you can do, some just fade.

It's probably the ink that was used. I have over 100 balls that were in a box in a dark closet for 20 years and are now in a uv ball case and for the most part they have not faded or changed color (a couple have had the ink turn a bit of an aqua color).

It sounds like you are doing all of the right things at your end. I'm sorry to hear that some of your collection is literally "disappearing" before your very eyes.

BTW, my experience is that the best ballpoint pen to use on a baseball is a BIC blue medium.
Over 40 years of collecting autographs, I have yet to have seen these autographs fade on a ML ball. Ball point, especially black ball point seems to fade the easiest, FWIW.
