Interesting new website, saw this and thought worthy of sharing

PWCC Market Price Research, searchable ebay sales back to 2004

You can essentially search ebay sales back to 2004!

https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/ebay-sales-history

"Search all eBay trading card sales since 2004, free to all PWCC Members. In total, this database houses over 200 million transactions and represents the single largest data set of prior sales ever presented to the public. Important to note that this data is largely raw and unfiltered, and should be researched carefully. The editing that has taken place is as follows:

* Sold Price filter is defaulted to $50 (can be moved to $0 if desired).
* Sale Type filter is defaulted to auction sales only (can include fixed-price sales if desired).
* Unpaid items are flagged and removed from the database since they don’t represent a true sale on the marketplace.
* Listings with the word 'reprint' in the title are automatically removed.
* Images are only available for sales after early March 2018."

As with any ebay search, you have to make sure your search terms are good, but to get this type of historical info is pretty amazing.

In order to be a PWCC member and get access to the tool, you just have to sign up for their email list.

I tried it. It's easier to use than VCP because you can generate your list in only one search. But the downside is the lack of images and the lack of AH data. Good resource though.

Tried it, and the best thing about it that I found is I was able to search for box sales. I've got a couple early 2000's items that I've never been able to find comps for, but I was able to with this.

Gonna have to try it. Impressive and free. Never been a fan of paying for data I can get from the web for free. And I fully understand arguments on both sides.

1953 Topps Mantle - Mays comparison

1 Attachment(s)
So I looked at the pricing data of two cards that I've had on my want-list for awhile. 1953 Topps cards of Mantle and Mays, in PSA 3.

Below is the price data going back to 2004. Note that I did take out a few outliers that just looked wrong and skewed the axis. Also, this includes both auction and BIN sales from the 'Bay. You can see that in the last 2 yeas, the difference in price has grown substantially. There are also quite a few more Mantle sales than Mays. I've always been intrigued by the comparison of these two center-fielders from NY, both on and off the field.
